El Salvador is a country of paradox. It is a land flourishing with beautiful scenery, people and cultures juxtaposed against vicious gangs, polarized wealth and neglectful governments. Many Salvadorans dream of one day being able to harvest the fruits of the American Dream, but the United States’ current stance on immigration looms as a barrier between them. Financial aid, educational liberation, and a common sense of security are all obvious rights to us, but for them it is a foreign struggle they constantly fight to obtain.
